Barcelona, Girona, Roses and Figueres are some of the biggest towns of the province. There you can go for shopping, museum (Dali Museum in Figueres, Alt Empordà Museum, Cathedral and Old Town in Barcelona, Picasso Museum in Barcelona...). You can reach these towns by bus or train.
Castelló d’Empúries is a beautiful, quaint medieval village that maintains the atmosphere of it’s splendid past. A visit to it’s streets, plazas, cathedral, historic roman wash rooms and flour mill is definitely worthwhile..
