What a boogie! Beautiful scenery, amazing people and great load organising with
different slots to try and lots of things to learn! And then of course Regan's
pre-jump speeches: 'We're all just about to jump out of an aeroplane door and
meet each other in freefall at 120 miles per hour... isn't that amazing!' Yes it
definitely was!!! Looking forward to next boogie! More, more, more!
Hope
to see you soon in a next boogie!:DDD

"Although the weather was not so
good on our arrival in Spain, after a few days the clouds lifted and the winds
settled. Faye and I were then able to fully appreciate the attraction of the
Empuria Xmas boogie. Getting involved with the load organized groups was
definately the best way to get the most out of the boogie. The instruction and
enthusiam from Billy and "Red line" Regan was outstanding. Have a great 2009.
Blue skies.

Variety of
FS groups is very good. - Emphasis on thorough debriefs is great (I sometimes
hear feedback from people that debriefs are very brief - never with you, thank
you). - All that I spoke to enjoyed you asking people to be on the DZ for
8.30, they found the added motivation you gave was a great help to get them out
of bed! - Anymore variety of skydiving would make the Empuriabrava boogies
even more attractive: skyvan, antonov, high altitude jumps (oxygen in plane
and/or oxygen kit worn during jump), beach jumps (especially if followed by
party!) - I know that many would like to try wingsuiting, could a boogie
include introductory coaching and jumps? Nethers did it once with very basic
suits and it was v popular. - Advertising at least a few months out is really
helpful to peole like me who put groups together. Extra events do a great deal
to entice people to sign up and to draw them away from other DZs. - and
finally, the exchange rate is getting people talking about other options, if any
attractive loyalty type offers were made they would be very well received ... no
suprise there!
Hope that is of some help. Many thanks again.

I've been to a couple of big-way
events in the past, but they were normally too short for me to make any
significant progress. After only a couple of days of big-way jumps at the xmas
boogie I learnt to become far more relaxed, and after that everything else began
to fall in place. The amount I learnt from the xmas boogie big-way jumps was far
more than all the other big-way events I have been to combined! It was fantastic
fun and I'll definitely be back!
Cheers for the fun Regan!

---------------------------- Hi, I have been coming to Skydive
Empuriabrava fairly regularly the last few years and would like to take this
opportunity to with you all a Merry Christmas and provide some feedback about
the facilities, staff and my great satisfaction with visiting Skydive
Empuriabrava. Location, without a doubt Skydive Empuriabrava has by far the most
convenient location of any DZ I have visited during my 35 year skydiving career.
Within walking distance of the town centre, shops, restaurants and hotels.
Normally I stay at the Hotel Castellblanc hotel a short 5 minute walk to the DZ.
I would stay at the Bunkhouse as they are clean and tidy and the showers are
great but I am getting a bit old for that lifestyle. The Office. Every time I
visit I am met with a smile and a friendly attitude. The Staff are very
efficient. My name and details are quickly looked up and within a few minutes I
have my jump ticket, locker key and packing tickets. The office staff has also
been most helpful with any queries I have had. Skydiving related or not. The
manifest. Every day I am greeted by a bright smile. This always sets my day off
to a great start. In my opinion the Manifest is the most important part of the
skydiving operation. I think the manifest does an outstanding job. Regardless of
how busy they are they seem to always find a slot for me. Of course it helps
that I always finish packing before I go to manifest. (I think I am the only
one)Everyone who works in the manifest gets a big 10 out of 10 from me. The
packers. Do a great job. I see them constantly keeping an eye out to make sure
the guys are ready for the next lift they are on. I have never felt the need to
ask for any special type of packing etc as every opening has been fine. The
Skydiving staff. I don’t talk a great deal with the instructors but I have
noticed that they are very observant and not at all reluctant to jump in and
help a skydiver out. Many times I have seen them approach skydivers with advice
about their equipment or jumping I must not forget the guys and girls who work
in the Sky-Rats bar. They are great. There are two members of staff I would
particularly like to mention. Regan Tetlow the organiser. Although I have not
jumped with Regan’s group I do see him doing a great job organising every time I
visit. I often follow his video debriefs. They are always friendly and he goes
to great lengths to make people feel comfortable even when they have screwed up
a jump. The dives he organises look interesting and innovative. Most evenings he
is around doing the social thing. Making sure skydivers get to know each other
and having a good time. The other member of staff I would like to mention is
Maria from Manifest. She is the main reason why I visit. Everyday I am met by
her bright smile and a cheerful hello. She is ace at her job (I have worked
manifest so I know what it is like) and is the one who always finds me a slot
when I want to jump. She does a great job as ambassador for the centre. On the
whole I have a great time visiting Empuriabrava and always look forward to my
next visit.
Best regards and good luck with 2009

everyone know I say a big thank you. Will see you guys at the end of Jan early
Feb. Its cold, grey and really sucks to be back in London. Oh well gotta work to

''Just returned from a week at
Empuria. Would like to saty big thanks you to the centre for providing Reganand
his load organising. Its so good when people turn up, sometimes on their own,
there is Regan who not only organises the jumps, but also gives expert tuition
and debrief to help us get better. His emthusiam and energy is infectious, can
wait for next trip!!''

''Right from our arrival
Regan made us at home, helping us organise accomodation, transport, paperwork
and a few beers! When skydiving his hep and coaching was second to none,
managing to providesound adviceand guidance in a friendly helpful and easy to
understand manner. Even when not going to plan, he would raise moral by
hghlighting the good points, getting us ready for the next one. Regan's
participation in the jumps added professional atmosphere to every skydive and an
extra element of fun! Regan's positive influence didnt stop at the DZ either! He
joined us on nights out showing the best bars and resturants. He is truly a
credit t Skydive Empuriabrava and I will see you all soon''

That was my first X-mas Boogie in Empuriabrava (actually my first boogie as a licensed jumper at all). I had no idea what to expect and what it will be like. I didn't even have an idea about the weather. So, I came with no expectations and as a boogie virgin.
I loved it!
The favorite moment of this Boogie came on the morning of 1st January. Take off at 9 am and having an awesome skydive! This is the best way to spend the first day of the year.
Mainly that boogie was about fun. I don't do funjumping so much as I am more training oriented, so I really enjoyed the relaxed, but yet challenging environment of a Boogie. Good organizers. Really good level, challenging and yet fun.
Overall atmosphere of the Boogie was also nice. Even at the rainy days it was nice to hang out at the DZ and talk to people. Also I loved the live music at the evenings. As I haven't been to boogies before - I have no previous experience to compare it with. For the first time boogie it definitely gave me a good feeling about boogies and a wish to go back.
Blue skies and have fun Reagan :D
